Our Tweens classes are fun and educational, instructed by highly qualified, Kids Yoga Teacher and myDrishti Founder, Caroline Vega. Caroline is currently writing the Kids Teacher Training Course for My Health Yoga.
In our Tweens classes we incorporate traditional yoga asana, breathwork and mindfulness through age-appropriate activities but still keeping it fun & 'cool' for Tweens. This not only encourages physical movement, but to also teaches tweens different techniques that will help them be more present and calm their minds as they approach the teenage years.
We also include journaling to build emotional-awareness, empowerment techniques, self-compassion and stress management activities.
Mondays 3:45pm to 4:30pm
This is a 45 minute class suitable for ages 9-12 years.
Classes are held once a week in 9 week blocks to coincide with school terms and each term will usually have a set theme. We encourage parents to enroll your Tween in the full term so they are able to receive the full benefits of the classes, however we do accept casual bookings.
What to bring:
Water bottle, comfortable clothes. No socks or shoes are required during class. We supply kids hyper allergenic, antibacterial mats free-of-charge however during the Social Distancing period we request that all students bring a yoga mat towel (non-slip) to class. We have these available to purchase at a discounted price of $12 with a casual booking, or $8 with full term enrolment.
