Our vision is to share yoga with the community by creating a grounded, holistic yoga sanctuary which you can refer to as your own drishti. We're a family-owned business that opened July 2nd 2017 with our second studio opening in September 2019. Everything in the studio has been thoughtfully handmade or up-cycled as we believe in leaving as little carbon footprint as possible.
At myDrishti Yoga everybody is welcome, from well-practiced yogis, teachers or teacher trainees, to beginners, to fitness junkies to those who prefer it relaxed and slow. We aim to have a well-rounded blend of yoga classes suitable for all. All our teachers are Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance-accredited, trained by highly-respected My Health Yoga, one of the longest-standing yoga teacher training studios in Australia.
The New Farm studio is located in a beautiful and tranquil Queenslander with surrounding views of bamboos trees; it's our studio in the treetops. With polished wooden floors and bifold windows opening into a peaceful garden, it is the perfect hidden retreat away from hustle and bustle of New Farm.
Our studio offers mats and props at no charge with complimentary herbal tea, as well as showers, toilet/change-rooms.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?
Drishti pronounced drish-tee is the yoga technique used to improve concentration; by controlling your eyes first and then your mind to direct your focus. By fixing your gaze on an unmoving point you are able to assume the characteristics of that object and become stable and balanced.
This can also be applied metaphorically in life. Keep your eyes focused on your goal, whatever it may be; by maintaining your drishti, much like holding a difficult asana (pose) in class, you will be less distracted by life's temptations and able to achieve your goal.
I believe balance is the pinnacle of life; whether it’s a healthy lifestyle, managing your spending, indulging or simplification... reaching your balance is the key.
