A mother’s blessing is an intimate party inspired by an ancient Navajo ceremony called a blessing way. The ceremony is held to prepare an expectant mother for her upcoming birth journey—to shower mom-to-be with love, support and encouragement.

Pregnancy Yoga Teacher, Massage Practitioner

I started studying and practising pregnancy yoga in more depth when I fell pregnant myself, and felt in my own skin how transformative this journey is. It is more than a natural process. It is a whole new reality to adapt and learn. It can be stressful and overwhelming sometimes. So pregnancy yoga helped me to enjoy this time with more ease, calm and confidence. I learned how to feel more connected with myself, my changing body and mind, with new sensations and emotions, and especially with my baby. Practising yoga while I was pregnant brought more awareness to different tools and techniques that I could apply all the way through in different stages and states of my pregnancy! I learned to be patient with my body, and my baby with a nurturing and slow approach, as pregnancy yoga brings the time and space to feel in the moment, accept and surrender to each new sensation, thought and emotion. I learned the importance of the connection with breath and energy between myself and my baby, creating a bonding between our yoga practice together. Also, I learned how powerful was the action of touching baby and meditate with him, even before I could see or feel him.
Pregnancy yoga helped me to find a safe and supportive environment to feel active, healthy, and connected with myself and my baby, and open to share and release physically, energetically and emotionally. It continuously reminded me that the journey is as much important as the destination, and that there are moments in the journey where I felt powerful as mother earth transforming and inspiring life, and other moments just for rest, inner connection and intimacy with the most pure, perfect and precious life creation.
